The example business

Ascent Careers

Ascent Careers coaches tech professionals on career growth. Their quiz asks for the person's actual wins and ambitions in free text - then returns a 30-day visibility sprint with post ideas drawn from the person's own story.

Audience
Software engineers, designers, PMs and data folks, mid-career, who are great at the work and invisible outside their team.
Voice & tone
Energizing but grounded. No hustle-culture, no 'personal brand guru' clichés. Visibility is a career skill, not vanity.
Offer
1:1 career coaching packages: positioning, promotion strategy, and interview preparation for tech professionals.

Framework - the Visibility Ladder: (1) Positioning: one sentence 'I help/build X for Y' derived from real wins, not aspiration. (2) Proof: turn past work into 2-3 concrete stories with numbers or outcomes. (3) Cadence: two posts a week beats daily burnout - one insight post, one story post. (4) Warm outreach: 3 meaningful comments a day on people in your target orbit; DMs only after genuine interaction.
Post formats that work for quiet professionals: 'how we solved X' post-mortems; 'what I wish I knew' letters to juniors; small strong opinions about your craft; before/after of a process you improved. Formats to avoid: engagement bait, inspirational fluff, reposting without a take.
30-day sprint shape: Week 1 = positioning + profile fix (headline, about section rewritten around outcomes). Week 2 = first two posts from their proudest win. Week 3 = add warm outreach layer. Week 4 = one 'flagship' deeper post + review what resonated.
Rules: every recommended post idea must come from what the person actually told us - their wins, their dream role, their opinions. Never suggest inventing or exaggerating anything.
