Ines, your moka pot deserves Slowburn
A roast with enough cocoa and shoulder to carry a flat white - and the stove-top settings that turn 'burnt' back into 'strong'.
“A supermarket bag that says INTENSE 10/10 on the front. And it is intense, I guess - but it mostly tastes burnt. My flat whites come out bitter and I've started adding sugar again, which I never used to do.”
- Ines, on the bag currently in her cupboard
Burnt isn't strong - it just shouts louder
Here's the thing that bag got wrong: what you're chasing is body - a coffee with enough weight and dark-cocoa depth to stay present through steamed milk. What you're getting is roast char plus a moka pot running too hot, which reads as bitterness, which sends you to the sugar bowl. That's not your taste buds being difficult; that's two fixable problems. The right blend handles the first one. A gentler flame and one well-timed move handle the second.
Your match, and one curveball
Slowburn
$17Dark blend - Brazil + Sumatra
Cocoa, smoke, and a heavy body: this is the bag we hand to anyone who says 'strong', and it's blended specifically for moka pots and milk. The Sumatra brings the weight, the Brazil brings the chocolate, and together they hold their shape in a flat white instead of dissolving into it. Brewed on the settings below, the smoke reads as dark chocolate - not ash.
Basecamp
$17Brazil, natural process - the curious pick
You left the door open to a surprise, so here's a gentle one: same milk-loving comfort, none of the smoke. Chocolate and hazelnut, low acidity, forgiving in any brewer. Run it through the same pot in week two and you'll find out whether 'strong' means smoke to you - or just depth.
Slowburn on your moka pot - start here
| Setting | Start here | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Grind | Medium-fine, like table salt | Finer chokes the pot and turns it bitter; coarser brews thin and watery |
| Dose | Fill the basket level - no tamping | The basket is your ratio; a moka pot measures itself when you let it |
| Heat | Medium-low, lid open | A slow climb pulls out sweetness; a hard boil scorches the grounds |
| Take it off | At the first gurgle - early, not after the sputter | That final sputtering stage is where most of the burnt taste comes from |
| Milk | Steam or froth it however you like | Slowburn is built to carry a flat white - the milk is the point, not a compromise |
The one-change fix
If you change nothing else this week: pull the pot off the heat the moment it starts gurgling, and touch the base to a cold, damp cloth to stop the brew. Taking it off early is the single biggest difference between 'strong' and 'burnt' on a stove-top - and it costs you nothing.
Your first two weeks
Days 1-3
Brew the baseline
- Follow the table exactly - no tweaks yet, so you know what Slowburn actually tastes like.
- Sip it once before the milk goes in. Not a test, just a hello.
- Hold the sugar on brew one and see if you still miss it.
Days 4-7
Dial one thing at a time
- Still a bitter edge? Go one step coarser on the grind.
- Tasting thin instead? Nudge the heat down and let it climb slower.
- One change per brew - that's how you find out what did what.
Week 2
Run the side-by-side
- Brew Basecamp in the same pot, same settings, same milk.
- Whichever cup empties faster is your subscription bag - the pot has spoken.
Fair questions
Is Slowburn actually stronger, or just darker?+
Darker and heavier-bodied - that's the 'strong' you can taste through milk. Caffeine-wise it's in the same neighborhood as the rest of our range; roast depth and body are what make a cup feel strong, not extra jolt.
Do I need a grinder for this to work?+
It helps, but freshness is the bigger lever. We roast weekly, and a bag that was roasted days ago will out-taste one that's been sitting on a shelf for months, ground or not.
What if I end up back on the sugar?+
Then enjoy your coffee with sugar - no judgment here, ever. But try the early pull and the cold-cloth trick first: most of the bitterness that sends people to the sugar bowl comes from the sputter, not the bean.
How does the subscription actually work?+
Pick your bag and how often it arrives, save 5-15%, and pause anytime - no hoops. Everything ships freshly roasted from that week's roast.
Roasted this week, gurgling on your stove next week
Put Slowburn on subscription and your moka pot never meets a tired bag again - 5-15% off, pause whenever, and you can swap in Basecamp the moment curiosity wins.
You're one fresh bag and one early pull away from retiring the sugar bowl. Start with Slowburn, keep the settings table next to the stove, and let the week-two side-by-side settle the smoke question for you. Your flat white is about to earn its name back.

Coffee Match Quiz
Tessa, let's get Moose back down the stairs
A joint-first routine for a nine-year-old Bernese who spends Saturdays like a puppy and pays for it on Sundays.
“He still charges up the trail every Saturday like he's two. But Sunday mornings he waits at the top of the stairs and won't come down until I carry his breakfast up to him. It's been going on since March. We got him an orthopedic bed - it's the stairs that get me.”
- Tessa, about Moose
What Sunday mornings are telling you
Here's the good news buried in that picture: a dog who still charges up the trail has plenty of engine left. The stiffness the next morning is his joints billing him for the fun - a classic pattern in big breeds around his age, and exactly what joint support is built for. The goal isn't to slow Moose down. It's to shrink the bill, so Saturday's dog and Sunday's dog are the same dog.
The numbers behind Moose's plan
9 yrs
Age
senior territory for a Bernese - joint support becomes maintenance, not a maybe
Giant breed
Build
more weight per stride is why we lead with Hip & Hind, not the coat
~36 hrs
Recovery gap
trailhead Saturday to moving normally Monday - the number we want to shrink
Week 4
First check-in
when we decide whether Omega Coat joins as phase two
Moose's match
Hip & Hind chews
$29Glucosamine + green-lipped mussel
Built for exactly Moose's pattern: big dog, big weekends, slow Monday recovery. Glucosamine supports cartilage that's carrying Bernese-sized loads up a trail, and green-lipped mussel helps with the post-adventure achiness that's keeping him parked at the top of the stairs.
Omega Coat oil
$24Fish oil blend - his phase two
You flagged the dull coat too, but joints first - one change at a time tells you what's working. After 4-6 weeks on Hip & Hind, add Omega Coat over his dinner to take on the coat and any itchy patches.
The routine, and the four weeks after
Every day
Two minutes at breakfast
- Give Hip & Hind chews with his morning meal - with food is easiest on a big dog's stomach and makes the habit automatic.
- Same time every day beats perfect timing. Consistency is the whole trick with joint support.
Trail days
Protect the Saturdays he loves
- Five minutes of easy leash walking before you let him charge - warm joints take hills better than cold ones.
- Finish with a slow cool-down loop instead of straight into the car.
- Let him set the pace on descents; downhill is where big joints take the most load.
Weeks 1-2
Set the baseline
- Don't judge anything yet - glucosamine works in weeks, not days.
- Keep a simple note on your phone: how long he hesitates at the stairs each morning, and which mornings are worst.
Weeks 3-4
Look for the gap to narrow
- You're watching for Sundays to look more like Wednesdays: quicker down the stairs, less hesitation after big days.
- Clear improvement? Stay the course, and this is when Omega Coat can join as phase two.
- No change at all by the end of week 4? Book a vet visit - stiffness that doesn't respond deserves a proper exam, not a bigger dose.
Free wins while the chews do their slow work
- A rug runner or stair treads on that staircase - traction is half the Sunday battle, and you already nailed the bed.
- Keep him lean through the fall: on a frame like Moose's, every extra pound lands on the same hips.
- Add one short mid-week walk if you can. Steady, boring movement between adventures keeps joints happier than the boom-and-bust weekend pattern.
⚠ When it's a vet call, not a chew
Gradual weekend stiffness is supplement territory. Sudden limping, blood in his stool, refusing food for more than 24 hours, or any new aggression is not - see your vet before starting any supplement if one of those shows up. Hip & Hind supports Moose's joints; it doesn't treat disease, and nothing in this plan replaces a vet who can put hands on him.
Four weeks from now, Sunday looks different
One bag of Hip & Hind covers the whole trial window, so the routine can start this week - pick a single bag or monthly auto-ship and save 10%.
Moose sounds like the kind of dog who's earned a great ninth year, and this plan only asks four consistent weeks of you. Start with a single bag, or set up auto-ship at 10% off so his routine never skips a week. Either way - give that big head a scratch from us.

Marisol, your account is winning the click and losing the sale
Eight thousand a month on Meta, a 2.4% cold CTR most accounts would envy - and a product page that never heard what the ad promised.
“Our CTR is honestly great - 2.4% on cold traffic - and the ads get compliments in the comments. But sales never followed. We doubled spend in March, panicked when CPA doubled too, and cut back. Tried new creative, tried a discount pop-up. The clicks keep coming; the revenue doesn't move.”
- Marisol, describing her account's year
Where the account is leaking (higher = bigger leak)
Cold traffic is landing on a bare product page. The classic leak, and yours.
The ad's promise isn't restated where the buying happens - second suspect, same family.
Monthly new angles is survivable at $8k/month, but it's below the 3-5 live angles we'd want.
Nothing in your story says broken tracking. The March whiplash hurt, but the data is usable.
The primary leak: landing congruence
"Great clicks, not enough sales" is the cleanest diagnostic sentence in paid social, and it points at the page, not the ads. A 2.4% cold CTR means the angle works - people are buying the idea. Then they land on a product page that shares no claim, no image, no temperature with the ad that brought them, and they have to re-convince themselves from scratch. Most won't. Every dollar of your $8k is buying a click your page can't close. The second suspect is offer & angle: if the promise that earned the click isn't the first thing the page cashes, the two problems compound. Fix congruence first - it's cheaper, faster, and it tells you whether the offer itself was ever the issue.
The honest ledger
Working in your favor
- ✓A 2.4% cold CTR - the expensive half of the funnel (attention) is already solved.
- ✓Spend is in the range where fixes show up in the numbers within weeks, not quarters.
- ✓You already ship new angles monthly, so a faster creative cadence is a schedule change, not a capability change.
- ✓You watch your numbers closely enough to have caught the March CPA spike early.
Working against you
- - Cold traffic goes straight to a bare product page - no bridge between promise and purchase.
- - The ad's claim isn't restated above the fold, so the click and the page argue with each other.
- - One page serves every ad, every angle, every audience temperature.
- - The double-then-cut spend whiplash in March means recent CPA data is noisier than it should be.
The repair order
This week
Prove the leak before you fix it
- Pull your last 30 days and line up your top three ads next to the product page. Write down each ad's core claim, then check whether that claim appears above the fold. Ours rarely does at this stage; yours likely won't either.
- Check where the drop-off lives: if add-to-cart rate is weak but the CTR is strong, the leak is between the click and the cart - congruence, not checkout.
- Rewrite the product page headline to repeat, word for word, the promise of your best-spending ad. This is a one-hour change.
Next 2 weeks
Build the bridge
- Stand up one dedicated landing page for your single best ad: same claim, same visual, written for a cold visitor who has seen exactly one ad, not for someone browsing your catalog.
- Send only that ad's traffic to it and let the product page keep everything else - that split is your test.
- Brief 3 genuinely different angles (different problem, different proof, different objection - not three crops of the same idea) so you're at the 3-5 live angles an account your size needs.
This month
Make it a system
- Put creative refresh on a 2-3 week cycle on the calendar, not on inspiration.
- Consolidate ad sets toward 50 conversions per week each - fewer, fatter ad sets give Meta's algorithm real signal and make your next scale attempt less like March.
- Re-attempt scale in 20% steps, only on the ad-to-page pairs that survived the congruence test.
This is the 20-minute version. The Deep Audit is the whole account.
Everything above came from six answers. The full Deep Audit goes ad set by ad set: your actual congruence gaps, your creative matrix, your consolidation map, and the scale plan for after the leak is patched - fixed price, no management pitch attached. If you want the second opinion before you spend another month's budget, this is it.
You don't have a traffic problem, Marisol - you have a translation problem, and those are the good kind because they're fixable in weeks. We'd tell a paying client exactly what you just read; the Deep Audit is where we prove it against your real numbers. Book it, and bring the March data.

Ad Account Mini-Audit
Nadia, that line has set - so relaxing it is only half the job
A three-part plan for a frown line that stopped needing a frown, sequenced around a face that has to be on camera every Tuesday.
“I don't want to look done. I want to stop being asked whether I'm tired. There's a line between my eyebrows that used to only show up when I frowned and now it's just there, all the time, and my under-eyes look flat and shadowed in every photo. I'm on camera every Tuesday for client calls, so I can't turn up bruised.”
- Nadia, on what she sees in the mirror
What is actually driving what you see
Years of the same frown put the line there. The muscle is still doing it every day.
"It's just there, all the time" means the crease is now etched into the skin itself, not only folded by muscle.
The flat, shadowed look in photos usually starts higher in the midface than where you see it.
Nothing you described points here, and nothing in this plan spends money on it.
Why one treatment will not do it
A frown line has two lives. First it is a fold: the muscle pulls, the skin creases, the skin lets go. Then, after enough repetitions, the crease stops letting go and becomes a groove in the skin itself - which is exactly the moment you described, when it went from showing up to just being there. Relaxing the muscle stops the groove getting deeper, and it is the only thing that does that reliably. It will not fill in what is already etched. That part is skin work, and it is slower. Anyone who tells you a single appointment erases a line you can see at rest is selling you the first half and letting you assume the second. The under-eye flatness is a separate question, and a trickier one: shadowing that shows up in photographs is more often the midface reading flat under overhead light than anything sitting in the tear trough, which is why nobody here will put filler under your eyes at a first visit.
What we would do, in this order
Wrinkle-relaxing injections - one area
$220Frown area only. Prescriber, not a technician.
This is the half of the problem nothing else does as well. It stops the daily pull that put the groove there, which is what keeps the skin work from being undone while it happens. It lasts three to four months and then wears off completely - nothing is left behind if you decide it wasn't for you.
Collagen microneedling - course of three
$990Three sessions, four weeks apart
The etched part. Controlled injury to the crease itself, so the skin rebuilds across it rather than around it. A single session is $380, but a line visible at rest does not respond to one - we would rather you skipped it than paid for a third of it. Expect about 48 hours of visible redness, which is the whole reason for the schedule below.
Prescription home protocol
from $95 a monthCompounded tretinoin plus a mineral SPF, reviewed at eight weeks
Everyone leaves with this, whatever else they have. It is the only part working on the days you are not in the chair, and the microneedling course is measurably less worth paying for without it.
How it would run around your Tuesdays
Your first visit
One area, and the home protocol started
- Photographs under fixed lighting, before anything - it is the only honest way to tell in three months whether this worked.
- Relaxing injections to the frown area only. Small marks for an hour, occasionally a bruise; book it on a Wednesday and you have six days before you are on camera.
- The home protocol starts that night, at two nights a week, not every night. Going faster is the most common way people give up on it in week three.
- No filler, and no under-eye anything. If the midface turns out to be the reason for the shadowing, that is a conversation for month six, not month one.
Weeks 4-12
The skin work, on a Wednesday
- Review at two weeks: the frown area settles by then and small adjustments, if any are needed, happen at that appointment.
- Microneedling at weeks four, eight and twelve. All three on Wednesdays - redness peaks the first evening and is generally coverable by the second, which puts you well clear of the following Tuesday.
- Home protocol pauses for three days on each side of a microneedling session.
- Nothing visible changes in the crease before about week eight. This is normal and it is the reason the course is three sessions and not one.
From month six
Reassess, with the photographs open
- Repeat the relaxing injections around month four if you want the line held where it now is; skip it and it drifts back toward where it was heading.
- If the under-eye flatness still reads the same in photographs after the collagen work, that is when it is worth examining properly. Skin boosters are $450 a session or $850 for the course of two, and they sit outside the number you gave us for this year - so they are a decision for next year, not a line item now.
- Total for the plan above: $220 plus $990, plus the home protocol at $95 a month. That leaves room inside your range, deliberately.
⚠ What this page is not
It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a promise. Nothing here replaces being examined in person by a prescriber, who will look at your skin under proper light, ask about your health, and may reach a different conclusion than a page built from seven answers. You told us none of the following apply, and we plan on that basis - but if any of them change, tell us before you are booked in rather than after: pregnancy or breastfeeding, blood thinners, autoimmune disease or immunosuppressant treatment, isotretinoin in the last six months, or any active infection or breakout in the area. Some of those mean we would wait rather than treat, and waiting is a real answer here. We do not guarantee an outcome or how long one lasts, and nothing in this plan is painless, permanent, or without downtime.
The questions people ask once they are sitting down
Will I look like I've had something done?+
That is a dosing decision, and it is the one we are most conservative about. One area, treated lightly, on a face that has never had it, moves less than most people expect at two weeks. You can always add at the review appointment; nobody has ever been able to take some back out.
I'm on camera every Tuesday. When do I actually book?+
Wednesdays, all of it. Injection marks are gone within the hour and a bruise, if you get one, has six days to fade. Microneedling redness peaks on the first evening and is usually coverable by the second. If a Wednesday is impossible, tell us and we will build the course around whichever day you can spare.
What if I hate it?+
Everything in this plan wears off. The relaxing injections fade completely over three to four months, and there is nothing to dissolve or remove because nothing is being placed. That is one of the reasons we would rather start you here than with filler.
Why not just put filler under my eyes and be done?+
Because under-eye is the area where a good result and a bad one are furthest apart, and shadowing in photographs is frequently coming from the midface rather than the hollow you can see. At this clinic that area is treated by the medical director only, and never at a first visit, whoever is asking.
What happens if I stop after six months?+
The frown line resumes the direction it was going. What the microneedling course built holds longer than the injections do, but it is not permanent either - skin keeps behaving like skin. This is a maintenance decision, not a one-off purchase, and it is fair to decide it is not one you want to make.
Thirty minutes and a good lamp will tell us what seven answers cannot
Everything above came from what you typed. What it cannot do is see how your frown moves, how your skin has actually weathered, or whether the shadowing under your eyes is what you think it is - and those three things decide dosing, sequence, and whether we would treat you at all. The consult is free, thirty minutes, with the prescriber who would do the work, and you will leave with photographs whether or not you book anything.
You said you wanted to stop being asked if you're tired, not to look different - and that is a narrower, more achievable brief than most people arrive with. The plan above is built to that brief and to your number, which is why it is three things and not seven. Bring the photos that bother you; they are more useful to us than anything you could say about them.

Questions
What you'd want to know
What is a consultation lead magnet?
The same trade as any lead magnet - something worth having in exchange for an email - except what arrives is a consultation rather than a file. Your lead answers a few questions, and Leadzy writes them one page about their own situation, drawn from what your business knows: a guide, a plan, or a set of recommendations. It sits in the same slot in your funnel as the PDF would, and it gives them the part of a real conversation with you that is about them.
What does each lead actually get?
A personal page written just for them - a personalized guide, a step-by-step plan, or recommendations, depending on what you sell. It is built from their answers and from what your business knows: your products, your prices, your voice, your red lines. Not a score band, and not a template with their first name dropped in.
I sell products, not my time. Is this for me?
Yes - product businesses are exactly who could never offer this before. A consultation here is one page written for one person: for a skincare brand it reads like your best person at the counter - which products, in what order, and why, for that one customer. A service business uses it to scale a conversation it already has; a product business uses it to offer one it never could.
Is it as good as an actual call?
No, and it isn't meant to replace one. It knows what you teach it and nothing more, it holds the lines you set, and it never books itself. What it does is give every lead the part of the call that is about them, before they ever reach your calendar - so when they do reach it, you both start out knowing the situation.
How is that different from a scorecard quiz?
Scorecard tools bucket people into bands and show everyone in a band the same canned page. Leadzy writes each page from the lead's own answers - including the things they typed in their own words, which come back to them on the page. Two leads never read the same thing.
Where does the content come from - can it go off-script?
From what you teach it: your products and prices, how you talk, who you serve, and the lines it must never cross. It only recommends what you actually sell. If you want full control, Fixed layout locks the exact structure of every page, section by section.
How much work is setup?
Describe your business once, pick your questions, publish. Fastest start: the setup wizard in your dashboard drafts your first lead magnet for you - questions, page layout, and all - and opens it in the editor.
What do I see on my side?
Every respondent lands in your dashboard as a lead with their full answers attached - including what they typed in their own words - so you see exactly what they need before you ever talk to them.
A few questions about your business. The consultation lead magnet we'd build for you.
